Binford Project DVD

The Binford Project: Logic of a Life's Work DVD was produced by a team of 6 Sociology/Anthropology majors and one Communications major as a Sociology/Anthropology Senior Seminar project. The DVD includes interviews with Lewis R. Binford recorded in his home in the fall of 2008. The interviews were edited by the students to reflect the logic of Binford's career from early childhood through Army service, college, graduate school and projects ranging from his work in the Arctic to work in the Central Desert of Australia, the Kalahari, and recent global comparisons of Hunter-Gatherers. The DVD has 4 Chapters: 

1. On undergraduate and graduate work
2. On excavating Neanderthal sites in France with Francois Bordes
3. On further work in small-scale societies after work in the Arctic
4. On compiling a larger body of research after work in 3 major contexts
